To determine the number of posts required and embedment depth, geotechnical testing is required for all project sites. Such testing generally requires numerous soil samples and subsequent soil classifications, which are the basis for determining the quantitative bearing capacity.

The GAYK Ram allows for fast and accurate post installation, with walk-along operation and intuitive controls. The machine features center pounding and can be used in difficult terrain conditions and on slopes of up to 20 degrees. Installation of posts into the soil is performed quickly by means of a terrain versatile hydraulic ram. This pile-driving technique is especially suitable for the installation of large systems. Even difficult terrain conditions (gravel or stones) are possible; in case of bedrock, the GAYK can be equipped with a drilling unit.
